lyrics
Don’t play me, I’m a fire
Captive in a game of liars
Oh can’t you see my face (oh no)
Such a disgrace (how so)
I see knives held right at my face
Pain, I had it then I found my place
Play by my rules, don’t complain
I’ll bite and walk away
Heard that you said that I should leave this town
I think I’ll sit and watch as you’re going down
I’ll twist the knife and leave you with a vicious ache
I won’t blink, I won’t shake, no
Because baby I’m a snake
Don’t blame me, I’m a poison
Tame me, I’m gonna be your prison
Crawling into your bed (oh lord)
I’ll leave you for dead (poor soul)
You’ll wish you listened to what I said
Shame, you feel it when you hear my name
Frame my picture in your brain
I’ll smile but it’s just a fake
Heard that you said that I should leave this town
I think I’ll sit and watch as you’re going down
I’ll twist the knife and leave you with a vicious ache
I won’t blink, I won’t shake, no
Because baby I’m a snake
Karma knows and will come collect the debt
And your soul is a price you won’t forget
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, hear me out
I’ll haunt your dreams forever now
Heard that you said that I should leave this town
I think I’ll sit and watch as you’re going down
I’ll twist the knife and leave you with a vicious ache
And I won’t blink, I won’t shake
Because baby I’m a snake
It's a great blend of different metal genres and styles, with great solos in basically every song, just that touch of oriental influences that feel natural but not artificial and above all else, performed by the beautiful, haunting voice of Jelena Dobric, who uses it in a way that is not the typical operatic approach as we are used to from other female-fronted bands wormys_queue
I stumbled upon Feels Like Velvet while letting my YouTube algorithm introduce me to new songs, and I've been hooked on Omnimar ever since. I love Dark Pop! jesslindsayfowler
In Adrian Snood’s songs, soulful vocals and slow-moving alt-pop swirl together to create something distinctly moving. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 1, 2023
Potent pop songs from this Ontario artist with an alternative edge thanks to toothy guitars & synths that go off like fireworks. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 28, 2022
Metamorphosis takes the musical artistry of this band to another level. It's not progressive,it's daring, as each musician in the band tries things they didn't try before. Obviously with Jelena adding death growls to her repertoire, but also with every song being it's own little universe but still fitting the concept of the album. This here is something you've probably never heard before. Oh, and I just can't pick a favorite song, because that changes everytime I listen to this great album. wormys_queue
